The order of the units and the skills covered within them is always at the discretion of the class teacher and may be changed without notice.

Numeracy has been a major focus in the first term, and will continue to be throughout the year. Improving the speed and accuracy of mental calculations such as 'times tables' and 'number bonds' is crucial as it supports their confidence in all areas of Maths. Without these key skills in place students will struggle to access the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, and so regular practice in class and at home is required to develop this.
